But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. God has selected [for His purpose] the insignificant (base) things of the world, and the things that are despised and treated with contempt, [even] the things that are nothing, so that He might reduce to nothing the things that are, so that no one may [be able to] boast in the presence of God. But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God [revealing His plan of salvation], and righteousness [making us acceptable to God], and sanctification [making us holy and setting us apart for God], and redemption [providing our ransom from the penalty for sin],  so then, as it is written [in Scripture], “He who boasts and glories, let him boast and glory in the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 1:27-31

The Marriage Covenant as designed by God will require a great deal of meekness, a type of humility that will make you appear to both self and the outside world (including husband/wife) like a FOOL. The picture that comes to my mind is Christ on the way to the Cross. After His Betrayal and Arrest… Led like a lamb into the slaughterhouse, He would have chosen a different path; He had the Power and Authority to do it. During His trial before Pontius Pilate, He would have given all the wise answers ... on that Cross, He would performed a miracle and caused those who drove nails on His hands and feet and fed Him gall to be casted into the abyss in hell. Yet He choose to stay! To be still! To endure and to persevere through the dreadful pain and most wicked punishment ever recorded in human history to an innocent man...

Because above all, He stood on His FATHER'S business (Kingdom Agenda) “My Father, if it is possible [that is, consistent with Your will], let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”

God has called and chosen among us ..placing/inviting us into Marriages where it is “THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IN HEAVEN”- Kingdom Marriage. Hence, many do not understand this because PRIDE and EGO causes us to wage war through FLESH with one another, man and woman locking heads. The struggle for POWER and CONTROL, fighting to see who will win over the other. The punishment from the Garden of EDEN is still in place for the natural man and affects the carnal man...

Nonetheless, it's until we ENCOUNTER Jesus Christ the MAN and MESSIAH from Nazareth [His Nature and Character- His MIND (WISDOM) and HEART (gentle and humble)]. Then we SUBMIT to Him by allowing the Holy Spirit illuminating the Word of God to GUIDE our steps, COUNSEL our decisions, dispense WISDOM. On how we go through our daily life, interactions and transactions within the ecosystem of man. Only then can grow, emerge and become our God given purpose on this earth. Thereby fulfilling the mandate “Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it [putting it under your power]; and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.” For He is the ONLY WAY (entrance, access) back INTO the Garden of EDEN to the tree of life as it was in the beginning.

Before creation of Marriage Covenant, man ALONE was only the Caretaker/Custodian of the Garden of Eden. After Marriage Covenant in place, MAN and WOMAN working TOGETHER in harmony have the PRIVILEGE to fill the earth by being FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLYING, and they have the POWER and AUTHORITY to SUBJUGATE AND SUBDUE IT; to RULE and have DOMINION over the earth. 

This was a formidable bond...a COMPLETE display of God's IMAGE in action. That is why Satan had to do everything in “his knowledge” to corrupt it. And so, he chooses the woman, Eve. NOT because Adam is most brilliant one and knowledgeable but because of their difference rooted in how God-designed their nature. She is the WEAKER VESSEL – Her FEMININE being is DELICATE in NATURE

The Serpent (Satan- a cunning Spirit) beguiled and deceived her (Eve), making her doubt GOD and not ADAM... did God say that? God implied this… He convinced her of the “benefits” of the fruit. She accepted a LIE as the truth; this suggests her weakness - whispers of the enemy tugging on her emotions.

Eve was deceived and ate the fruit, She doubted God's Word which suggests out alignment with God ...She lost her position -Her identity 

She gave Adam the fruit, he ACCEPTED without opposition, which suggests the weakness of a man lies in the INFLUENCE of a WOMAN. She has incredible effect/power on his actions.

Adam ate the fruit from EVE'S HAND, Satan has “won” he has single handedly brought down the man using his own wife. God spoke to Adam explicitly giving the instructions yet by his wife’s hand he has yielded to her whispers… Satan has undermined his authority and power hence he has lost his alignment with God…lost his position -His identity 

Now, within the Marriage Covenant if you attack the woman (the GATE to future generations) you subvert (weaken) and even overthrow the man (the KEY to future generations). When the GATE is down...the KEY has no function anymore it is thereby rendered useless. The home becomes a place filled with chaos and confusion, absent of defense, structure, and order.... anything can go in steal, kill and destroy; everything can go out steal kill and destroy. Hence, a BROKEN HOME...Satan has fractured God’s original plan. Thus, operation bring down the GATE and the KEY has succeeded, the bond has been weakened. Man and Woman are going to fight each other rather than the outsiders.

Mankind has fallen from God... they have succumbed to their flesh based on their individual’s nature weaknesses... Man and woman cannot work together (oneness) in harmonious agreement to fulfil God’s mandate. Sin has awakened the Spirit of Contention -Leviathan spirit, derived from their natural and nurture weaknesses. They must find help walk in the oneness, intimacy, and dominion as God designed for them. It is through Jesus Christ the Way, the Truth and the Light.

That's where we are today!

Both Man and Woman in their sinful nature (the flesh) do not under any circumstances understand the Marriage Covenant with the Wisdom of God the One who created and ordained it in the beginning. Many get into this institution with Selfish ambitions and cultural biases (prejudices) that limit their transformation and growth that this Covenant effects. The Way, Truth and Light of Christ has introduced us to something new, something attainable with the help and reliance of the Holy Spirit.

For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed or embarrassed. Genesis 2:24-25
